ReDesigning Funding For Los Angeles examines how local, state, and philanthropic funding impacts the ability of community-based organizations (CBOs) and Tribal entities to lead green infrastructure projects across Los Angeles County. Drawing on surveys and interviews, the report highlights key procedural, structural, and administrative barriers that limit equitable access to funding, while identifying equitable grantmaking strategies for different funding sectors. This report offers actionable recommendations to help funders design more accessible, flexible, and equitable funding models that strengthen capacity building and advance community-led climate readiness across Los Angeles County.
